Radio tips for those who are new (if you don't have a radio yet)
As we basically operate with radios that are open to all channels and frequencies, it can be good to do things as correctly as possible.

First you have to get a radio. For someone who is completely new to the airsoft world, most radios you can buy at Clas Ohlson or similar stores are suitable.

These radios operate on the legal frequencies in Norway. They have a fixed antenna and have a maximum transmission power of around 0.5W.

The majority of people who play with radio today use radios that go outside the actual legal frequency range.

Because of this, you should make sure that the radio you get is either within the legal frequencies or is programmable. Then you can at least lock the radio to the legal frequencies as a minimum measure.

Baofeng UV-5RIs perhaps the most popular radio among airsoft players.

These can be bought relatively cheaply on E-bay, Wish etc

You also get hold ofBaofeng BF-F8HPfrom a Norwegian retailer (game-on.no) at a somewhat higher price.

The biggest advantage of these radios is how small and compact they are, as well as how cheap they often are.

Many people may experience coming to games and seeing other players with Peltor Comtac headsets. There is nothing to say that you MUST have such a headset. These cost NOK 2-4,000 and are really "overkill" for airsoft. But if you like the way it looks, and the fact that they protect your ears from any bullets, there is an alternative.

Z-tachas several headsets in the price range NOK 1000 - 1500.

Alternatively, there are both baofeng and other manufacturers' headsets.

(PS. The several baofeng packs you can buy usually have an "earpiece")

We remind you that we are not alone in the channels and that outsiders can listen, we are therefore introducing a call to use samband as correctly as possible, below you can find a guide on how to communicate on coms.
